Operation Raccoon City was released today as well as the SH HD collection. I picked up ORC, played through the first 2 levels and I have to say it's exactly what I was expecting it to be. It's much more action-y and can appeal to a larger audience but it still has the RE feel to it. Zombies, B.O.W.s, and US Counter-forces are the main enemies you face along with stronger B.O.W.s like the Tyrant. One cool feature is if you are fighting multiple types of enemies you can shoot a human and make him bleed to attract the zombies to the enemy team.

I haven't tried versus yet but it might prove to be interesting. Anything is better than the VS mode that was put in RE5.

If you guys got any questions feel free to ask, or if you pick it up and want to play (PS3). I'll be playing campaign.

Man I wish this game had couch co-op. MEGA SADFACE!!! I never play games online (other than LBP when Iam trying to get trophies) so it is pointless to me to bother with a game that ignores the existence of local co-opers. I am always looking for a good co-op game for my sister and I to play, so I am severely disappoint that this game isn't.

OTHER THAN THAT, I wounder how much of a "Resident Evil" game this game is???

I'm at a level that is really hectic, zombies by the assload, us special forces, and NEMESIS. All at once in a medium sized room. I'm getting my ass handed to me by him. Over and Over and Over...

How am I supposed to "neutralize the nemesis" anyway? That's what the U.S.S. Operative is telling us to do. Seems like my bullets just piss me off. Pretty sure my SMG and Samurai Edge aren't going to kill this big ass mofo.

While I did enjoy the game I have a few gripes with it. One, its short as hell and the story plays out almost like a Call of Duty game as in, opening sequence where someone explains your mission and then it says "Mission Started" QUE Play time. Even the final boss fight is stupid. Overall though I enjoyed it. I thought it was going to have a campaign to play as US Soldiers :\.

I almost gave into the hype and now I'm seeing really bad things about it.

It's not bad at all, I think it's really fun! Though there a couple things I wish they incorporated more into it, but overall it's not a bad game. Yes, the game is short, but it's got mad replayability. It's a nice fill-in between RE5 and RE6. :)

I say play it for yourself Fungo! :hey:

Honestly, it COULD have been better than what we got. I mean I was looking forward to this game for so long, finally RE going back to it's roots, but they just screwed it all up and handed us this unfinished piece of crap. I haven't played it more than 3 times after buying it, I can't even get multiplayer to work...jeez.

This guy pretty much sums up my idea of the game:

Is "Resident Evil:Operation Raccoon City" worth buying?

I'd like to know, because it looks quite fun,the only problem I had,was Nemesis's voice in the trailers,it sounds terrible. But other than that,I need opinions here.

Take it from someone that bought into the hype, waited since it was announced to be released, bought it and then was VERY disappointed with it.

No, it is not worth buying. Rent it if you HAVE to play it.

*edit: Okay maybe I was a little harsh. It IS better than RE5, and fun to play if you have a group of people that know what they're doing. If you're going at it solo you might want to get a team together first if you are going to buy it.
