This book is amazingly dark and has a unique sadistic humor. Anyone else read this series of Dexter books? I'm on the 3rd one and at the end. So far it's disappointing.

I've heard the books are bad, I like the TV show though (although last season sucked)

Don't get me started on LAST season. It was so SOOO VERY, VERY TERRIBLE. Plot holes. Retarded stuff. Poor writing.
Actually, just don't get me started on the TV show. I will not accept anything other than Season 1 & 2.
I will also accept 4 & 5 as they were acceptable... BUT-
Season 3 was 'OMG' terrible, but now Season 6 far exceeded 3's 'OMG' terrible and is a whopping 'WTF!!!!' terrible.

The books are actually pretty good. The first one is amazing, the second is good, the third is okay... and now I'm reading the fourth. Let's hope it doesn't continue this downward trend.

I liked season 6. I hope they kill the show already, though.

The books aren't bad.

What did you like about Season 6? I honestly couldn't think of anything... well, maybe...

Where he happens to carry an unconscious man's body down 40+ floors of a building under heavy surveillance and taking him to a church which is a known active crime scene to kill him without being noticed.

I liked how the whole season felt more like Dexter than 5. I didn't like 5's detour with
Spoiler! :
the whole love story line, but I did like the villain for 5. Tick tock. With season 6, I dug the whole religious theme and Dexter being somewhat conflicted about all of this. The themes of darkness vs. light were important to character development I think.
Generally, I think season 4 is the best...:)
