Hay youse guyses! I am super over-tired and shakey from being up all night filming but I finally got the first 10 seconds or so of my EMP animation for uni. 10 seconds doesn't sound like a lot, I know but it takes a good 2 hours to manage [not to mention the 20 seconds of wasted material I also got and ruined by being an idiot and kicking my tripod]

He's a tea imp dude that makes a cup of tea then takes a bath in it. It's meant to be a metaphor for the creative process and how it's supposed to be autonomous and relaxing [like makin' a cuppa]

In my case, it never ever is. Blah. Anyways, enjoy the greatest 10 seconds of your lives!

I'm not going to do anything else today, because it will all just be disappointing after watching this masterpiece.

He seems to be completely aimless, haha. I bet you wrote this as you went. Am I right?

Regardless, it is interesting. Keep it up!

It's almost creepy. Imagine the IMP doing something more "impish". I love the character concept you have going there

This is really cool! Stop animation is a big challenge. My brother was an electronic media major in college and I helped him film some stop animation sequences.... the ultimate exercise in patience.

Wellp I finally finished it and I'm now sick to death of looking at it, but can't stop rewatching it and scrutinizing everything. Ugh.

And Fungles, I actually scripted the whole thing! The aimlessness and playfulness in Tea Dudes body language and actions are all intentional. His physical struggle with implements many times his size are analogous to an artists struggle to create and feeling at odds with the tools you need to use in order to create. I also needed to showcase my ability to convey body language and characterization without dialogue, hence why he mucks about a bit with the jars and the teacup and checks himself out in the back of a teaspoon [the only part that actually WAS improvised whilst filming]

Weh
